Magical Earrings: Nocturne (vintage midnight blue pearl from Japan)

My earrings are a little bit of magic brought back to life right here in Montreal, Quebec.

At Atelier Saturne, nothing is left to chance: every pair of earrings is thoughtfully designed, assembled, and infused with intention in my little Plateau studio in Montreal.

It’s my way of creating unique jewelry with meaning.

Every piece of my jewelry features upcycled elements.

All the beads I use are vintage, found here in thrift stores in Montreal or on trips I take specifically to inspire my creations.

To date, Atelier Saturne has taken me to several places to create unique collections: Salem, New Orleans, Serbia, Romania, Mexico, Peru, the South of France and Japan.

Each place directly influences the jewelry I create.

All the pearlized beads used in my creations since June 2025 come from Japan. Any chain segments on my earrings are leftover chain pieces from my necklaces.

What makes my earrings truly special:

A magical design.

Every pair has that little “je-ne-sais-quoi” that makes it unique.

Most of my earrings are made up of beads and charms, often with a slight asymmetry that gives them their character.

The charms come from a variety of places:

– They may be vintage, and very often one of a kind

– They may come from deadstock (older collections or pieces with imperfections (always noted when this is the case)

– Sometimes there are also a few new charms, when I can’t find what I’m looking for or to meet specific requests. Feel free to write to me if you have any questions 🤍

If you can’t see a style in the online shop, it simply means it’s been sold. I never leave sold-out product listings online. (One-of-a-kind styles featuring vintage charms, posted during drops, often sell quickly and disappear right away.)

There are always flat-lay and on-model photos to help you picture what they’ll look like.

The earring backs are made of stainless steel (PVD Physical Vapor Deposition on stainless steel) for the gold finish, a high-quality coating that stands the test of time and is light-years ahead of gold plating, making them perfect even for sensitive ears.
