Magical earrings: Moon Tear (vintage Japanese pearls)

My earrings are a little piece of magic that I bring back to life right here in Montreal, Quebec.

At Atelier Saturne, nothing is left to chance: every pair of earrings is designed, assembled, and infused with intention in my little Plateau workshop in Montreal.

This is my way of creating unique, meaningful jewelry.

Every piece of my jewelry contains upcycled elements.

All the beads I use are vintage, found here in Montreal thrift stores or on trips I take specifically to inspire my creations.

To date, Atelier Saturne has taken me to several places to create unique collections: Salem, New Orleans, Serbia, Romania, Mexico, Peru, the south of France and Japan.

Each place directly influences the jewelry I create.

All the pearlized beads used in my creations since June 2025 come from Japan. The chain pieces on my earrings are offcuts from the chains used in my necklaces.

What makes my earrings truly special:

A magical design.

Every pair has that little “je ne sais quoi” that makes it unique.

Most of my earrings are made with beads and charms, often with a slight asymmetry that gives them their character.

The charms come from a variety of places:

– They may be vintage, and very often one of a kind

– They may come from deadstock (old collections or pieces with imperfections (always noted when applicable)

– Sometimes there are also a few new charms, when I can’t find what I’m looking for or to meet specific requests. Feel free to write to me if you have any questions 🤍

If you don’t see a design in the online shop, it simply means it has sold. I never leave sold-out product listings online. (One-of-a-kind designs with vintage charms posted during drops often sell quickly and disappear right away.)

There are always flat-lay and on-model photos to help you picture how they’ll look.

The earring backs are made of stainless steel (PVD Physical Vapor Deposition on stainless steel) for the gold finish, a high-quality coating that stands the test of time and is light-years ahead of gold plating, making them perfect even for sensitive ears.
