Magical Upcycled Earrings: Ondine (Vintage Japanese Pearl)

My earrings are a little bit of magic brought back to life right here in Montreal, Quebec.

At Atelier Saturne, nothing is left to chance: every pair of earrings is designed, assembled, and infused with intention in my little studio in Montreal’s Plateau neighborhood.

This is my way of creating unique, meaningful jewelry.

Every piece of my jewelry includes upcycled elements.

All the beads I use are vintage, found in thrift stores here in Montreal or on trips I take specifically to inspire my creations.

To date, Atelier Saturne has taken me to several places to create unique collections: Salem, New Orleans, Serbia, Romania, Mexico, Peru, the south of France, and Japan.

Each place directly influences the jewelry I create.

All the pearlescent beads used in my creations since June 2025 come from Japan. Any chain pieces on my earrings are leftover chain scraps from my necklaces.

What makes my earrings truly special:

Magical design.

Every pair has that little “je-ne-sais-quoi” that makes it unique.

Most of my earrings are made with beads and charms, often with a slight asymmetry that gives them their character.

The charms come from different places:

– They may be vintage, and very often one of a kind

– They may come from deadstock (from older collections or pieces with imperfections (always noted when applicable)

– Sometimes there are also a few new charms, when I can’t find what I’m looking for or to meet certain requests. Feel free to message me if you have any questions 🤍

If you don’t see a design in the online shop, it simply means it has sold. I never leave sold-out product listings online. (One-of-a-kind designs with vintage charms posted during drops often sell quickly and disappear right away.)

There are always flat-lay photos and photos of the earrings being worn to help you picture them.
