Magical Upcycled Earrings: Star of the Depths (in Mother-of-Pearl)

A little magical note: As you can see, this pair is adorned with a genuine mother-of-pearl bead. Since mother-of-pearl is the inside of a shell, its shape, reflections, and curves naturally vary from one creation to another. That's part of its charm: even within a small series, each Saturne has a truly unique piece of jewelry. ✨

My earrings are a little piece of magic that I bring back to life right here in Montreal, Quebec.

At Atelier Saturne, nothing is left to chance: each pair of earrings is designed, assembled, and imbued with intention in my little studio in the Plateau in Montreal.

It's my way of creating unique and meaningful jewelry.

Each of my pieces of jewelry contains upcycled elements.

All the beads I use are vintage, found here in thrift stores in Montreal, or during trips I take specifically to fuel my creativity.

To date, Atelier Saturne has taken me to several places to create unique collections: Salem, New Orleans, Serbia, Romania, Mexico, Peru, southern France and Japan.

Each location directly influences the jewelry I create.

All the pearlescent mother-of-pearl beads used in my creations since June 2025 come from Japan. When there are bits of chain on my earrings, they are chain scraps from my necklaces.

What makes my earrings truly special:

A magical design.

Each pair has that little “je ne sais quoi” that makes it unique.

Most of my earrings are made of beads and charms, often with a slight asymmetry—that's what gives them their character.

The charms come from several places:

– They can be vintage, and very often unique

– They can come from deadstock (older collections or pieces with imperfections (always mentioned when this is the case)

– There are also, sometimes, a few new charms, when I can't find what I'm looking for or to meet certain desires. Don't hesitate to write to me if you have any questions 🤍

If you don't see a model in the online store, it's simply because it has been sold. I never leave sold-out product pages online. (Unique models with vintage charms posted during drops often sell out quickly and disappear immediately).

There are always flat-lay photos and photos of the jewelry being worn to help you visualize it.

The clasps are made of stainless steel (PVD Physical Vapor Deposition on stainless steel) for the gold finish, a high-quality finish that stands the test of time and is light-years away from the quality of gold plating, perfect even for sensitive ears.

No green marks, no surprises: just earrings that stay solid and beautiful for a long time.
